As-Built Design Studio is a fictitious name (DBA) of TheRedCottage.com Design, LLC, a Florida limited liability company based in Palm Coast, FL 32137. “We,” “us” and “our” on this page mean that company.
Using this website
You’re welcome to browse the site, learn about our services and contact us. Please don’t misuse it, for example by trying to disrupt it, sending spam through the forms, or copying the site’s content for your own commercial use.
General information, not a quote or professional advice
The information on this site is general. It isn’t a quote, an offer, or professional advice for your specific project. Prices, schedules and deliverables are set only after we talk about your project.
Project work has its own agreement
Any project work, including scanning, 3D tours, as-built drawings, Revit models, CAD files, design and permitting assistance, is governed by a separate written proposal or service agreement that we both sign. If anything on this website conflicts with that agreement, the signed agreement controls.
Accuracy of scans and measurements
Our scans and measurements are as accurate as the equipment allows, and are subject to the manufacturer’s stated tolerances. For example, Matterport rates the Pro3 at about ±20 mm at 10 meters. Real conditions such as distance, lighting, surfaces and obstructions can affect results.
For critical dimensions, such as cabinetry, built-ins, structural work or tight clearances, please field-verify measurements before ordering materials or building.
Not a licensed architect
Brian Eicholtz, the owner, is a designer, not a licensed architect, and we don’t offer architecture services that require a license. If your project needs a licensed architect or engineer, we’ll tell you and refer you to one or coordinate with one.
Permitting assistance
We offer permitting help on an hourly basis, such as preparing drawing sets, submitting them and responding to reviewer comments. Permit fees charged by the building department are passed through to you. Approval decisions are made by the permitting authority, not by us.
Our content
The text, logo, photos, drawings, graphics and other content on this site belong to TheRedCottage.com Design, LLC or are used with permission. Please don’t copy, reuse or republish them without our written permission. Ownership and use of project deliverables are covered by your project agreement.
Links to other sites
This site links to other websites, such as TheRedCottage.com and Matterport. We don’t control those sites, and their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.
Disclaimer
We work hard to keep this site accurate and working, but it’s provided “as is.” We don’t promise that it will always be available, error-free, or up to date.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t responsible for losses or damages that come from using this website or relying on its general information. This doesn’t limit any rights you have under a signed project agreement or under law that can’t be waived.
Florida law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute about this website will be handled in the courts located in Flagler County, Florida.
